Operating System
Internet Printing Software has been tested under Windows 95, Windows
98 (1st and 2nd Editions), Windows ME, Windows NT4 (with at least
Service Pack 4), Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It should operate
satisfactorily with all of these, with the following exceptions:
Windows 95 requires Internet Explorer 4.02 or above to be
installed, to enable satisfactory operation.
Processor
The software will operate on any Pentium processor, however at less than 166 MHz it will take some time to load pictures into the order
and to prepare them for processing. For large orders (12+ prints), 266 MHz or above is recommended.
Memory
At least 64 Mb is recommended. At least 32 Mb is required.
Disk Space
15 Mb is required for the initial install. However any software that handles photographic quality pictures uses a significant amount
of hard disk space. At least 15MB is required for the pictures.
Graphics and Screen Settings
Graphics settings should be high colour or true colour (16 bit or above). Screen settings should be at least 800x600 (normal resolution for 14" screens).
Modem or Internet Connection
An Internet-enabled PC is required. For standalone (non networked) machines, an internal or external modem is required
with a capacity of at least 28.8k. Internet Explorer 4 or above. Must be installed.
Submitting Orders
You should allow some time for the order to be sent over the Internet connection. Since each different picture needs to be sent at a resolution that will maximise the quality of the finished print, transmission times will depend on the number of different pictures and their size. For example, submitting 3 sets of 7" x 5" prints
typically take about 4 minutes to complete.
